Ted’s Bulletin

Ted’s Bulletin is an all-American restaurant with nightly specials, breakfast served all day, and a diner facade that oozes early 20th century charm. Cozy booths in the spacious dining room invite patrons to sit for a while after their meal sipping on milk shakes, chatting and watching either a sports game or old movie on the projection screen. An expansive menu will please your hunger, sweet tooth and picky child for a never-fail option when looking for Washington, DC restaurants.

With three locations, the Ted’s Bulletin nearest to us is in Capitol Hill on the corner of 8th and E streets. Guests can take a ten-minute walk to the restaurant or get over in just as much, or less time by car or subway. Ted’s Bulletin is also within walking distance of Barrack’s Row, the Washington Navy yard and a number of cafes and museums.

Beginning your meal at Ted’s Bulletin, you can order something hearty like their Lil’ Chicken ‘n Biscuits, served with a tangy house mumbo sauce, or a Maryland Pride Crab Cake with mustard. During the colder seasons, you can’t go wrong with any of their three soups. Pair tomato with a grilled cheese, or warm up with some chicken noodle or stovetop chili.

When it’s time for the main course, you’ll never be disappointed in ordering one of the signature, juicy burgers. You can even create your own with angus beef and veggie options, as well as a number of cheeses and toppings. Those looking for a full plate will enjoy a classic American braised short rib pot roast with roasted carrots, mashed potatoes and gravy.

Lastly, be sure to finish with one of the many milkshakes served at Ted’s Bulletin. Keep it youthful with a S’mores or PB&J option, or spike things up with a White Russian or Peppermint Junior milkshake with peppermint schnapps.
