The elections are fast approaching on Tuesday November 4, and as usual, it is Red vs. Blue. Here’s our guide to where to watch the 2014 election coverage in DC. 2014 is a big election year — the senate elections, House of Representatives elections and gubernatorial elections are all taking place.
Bullfeathers (410 First St. SE), just steps away from Capitol Hill Hotel, is a political bar mainstay and a perfect place to watch the 2014 election results roll in. Be prepared to rub shoulders with a host of Capitol Hill staffers so whether your allegiances lie with blue or red you’ll be sure to have a member of your party represented here. They offer great apps for sharing and have a large selection of draft beers on tap to boot.
The Old Ebbitt Grill (675 15th St. NW) is a longstanding beacon of politicos wining and dining in the city, so saddle up to the bar and watch the 2014 election results roll-in. Standout items here include many seafood dishes and we cannot forget the Peanut Butter Pie…the perfect consolation (or celebratory) prize if you find your state has swung red or blue!
At Hawk and Dove (329 Pennsylvania Avenue SE) you’ll find big screen TVs and strong drinks, perfect for settling in for the many hours of news coverage on the evening of November 4.
Barrel (613 Pennsylvania Ave SE) is one of our new favorites in Capitol Hill. Known for their bourbon you’ll find a long list of boutique bourbon offerings (along with their house brand) as well as fantastic food options, all southern-inspired, of course.
Tune In (331 Pennsylvania Ave SE) is a staple on the hill and is a comfortable neighborhood bar. Expect a low key evening here to watch the election results roll-in.
