If your little ones are sports fans, then they might get a huge kick out of attending the 2018 Nationals Winterfest, hosted at Nationals Park. Winterfest will have fun family-friendly attractions like a curling station, clubhouse tours, and autograph stations with Nationals players.

Ice Skating in Georgetown

Every winter, Washington Harbour in Georgetown opens up the largest outdoor ice skating rink in the city. There’s no better place to get into DC’s holiday spirit than here, where you can enjoy a skate next to the Potomac River, and a number of hot beverage options.

Every holiday season, ballet and theatre companies around the world perform Septime Webre’s The Nutcracker. The DC version of this historic story is set in Georgetown with historical figures like George Washington and King George III interwoven into the plot.
