Hamilton in DC

June 13 - September 6th The global sensation Hamilton: An American Musical has been the talk of the theatre world for three years now. Finally, the brilliant, hip-hop infused, American history production is coming to Washington, DC.

1968: An American Odyssey at NPG

June 29 - May 19, 2019 There are a lot of elements of the social revolution in 1968 that might not be family friendly but you can trust the Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery to present the time in a respectful fashion. This year-long exhibition showcases the brilliant art, historical events, and figures of this radical year in American history.

4th of July Fireworks

July 4th Located on the National Mall, the 4th of July Fireworks in Washington, DC are as American as it gets. The celebration also includes an Independence Day Parade, and a Capitol Fourth—a free annual concert featuring the National Symphony Orchestra.
