Panda Cub Bei Bei Debut at the National Zoo

Every year thousands of people from all over the country come to Washington DC to see the Giant Pandas at the National Zoo. This past August ,panda Mei Xiang gave birth to a male cub, Bei Bei. The panda was named by Michelle Obama and The First Lady of the People’s Republic of China, Peng Liyuan. Since August, Bei Bei has been healthy and growing in private. This January, however, he will go on exhibit for the first time! The Panda House will then be reopened to the public for it’s normal times, 9am-4pm daily.
