The Military Bowl has its seventh-annual kick off on December 27 at 1:00 p.m. at the Navy Marine Corps Memorial Stadium (550 Taylor Avenue, Annapolis). The Military Bowl benefits the USO and other organizations that help to support the armed forces and their families.
There are tons of fun events leading up to the Military Bowl, including a pub crawl, a gallery walk, a 5K run and the Military Bowl Parade. The Gallery Walk takes place on Friday, December 26, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The walk includes stops at the Annapolis marine Art Gallery, Blue Crab Antiques, Irish Traditions, Maryland Federation of Art Circle Gallery and more.
The Military Bowl 5K takes place on Saturday December 27 at 8:15 a.m. The course veers through historic Annapolis, the state house, and the start of the Military Bowl parade.
Registration is $50 and the first 1,000 individuals to register receive a long-sleeve Under Armour shirt with registration. And everyone that completes the race is a winner; all runners who complete the race will receive a commemorative 5K coin. After the race, it’s time to ‘par-tay’! Enjoy a post-race party and military bowl tailgate.
Getting to the Military bowl is simple and easy; there are a host of shuttle bus options available. Shuttle Buses run continuously from the parking lot located at 1997 Annapolis Exchange Parkway, (located off Jennifer Road). Buses start at 6:30 a.m. The last buses return to the parking lot from the stadium at 10:30 a.m.
