Head out to the world-famous Ford’s Theatre this March for one of the best musical fairy tales to ever hit the stage. The dark and imaginative story from Stephen Sondheim is a riff off a number of historic fairy tales, and it centers on a baker and his wife trying to reverse a witch’s curse that’s kept them from conceiving children. On this journey, in the woods, the come across characters like Little Red Riding Hood, Jack with his beanstalk, Rapunzel, and Cinderella. Sondheim’s score to this production won him a Tony.
